karen klucowicz  .  concept-driven bold figurative abstract art

Karen’s paintings evoke emotional responses that often surprise her collectors. Focusing on the strength of individuals and how that affects relationships, her series offer access to internal dialogue and communication tools.

Karen Klucowicz is a Canadian artist in Hamilton, Ontario. Her concept-driven, bold, abstract, figure-based paintings are focused on the strength of individuals and how that strength affects relationships.

Ending a tumultuous relationship, Karen survived being held at gunpoint and escaped a life of tremendous highs and lows. The concepts of her paintings all stem from recognizing the strength it took to end that cycle, a willingness to share her story and open communication with others. Her intention is to have others see that they are not alone and enable them to take action to grow healthy relationships.
While Klucowicz has drawn and painted since her earliest recollections, her creative career began as an interior designer (studied at Humber College). Years later, she returned to study editorial illustration in the Communication and Design division of the Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto. The fields of study cumulated in an entrepreneurial life of business in marketing, branding and creative interiors. In 2016, Karen returned to her first love of fine art and has committed herself to growing and sharing her series of work.

Her work is available through SaatchiArt.com,  directly, or through her current exhibitions. she has been represented by Raven Art Gallery in the Niagara Region of Ontario (2018-2020 closed due to pandemic).
