I love to collaborate with creatives of disciplines outside of mine — musicians, poets, photographers — we have a great time coming to artwork that is meaningful and unique. The underlying concept to this piece is to provide a visual and audio experience that describes the chord, discord, and harmony of communication in relationships. Our ambition is to have you receive and respond to the sounds and visuals, and allow them to act as a catalyst to conversations with others.
We brought all of the components together in this work — the joy of which was brought together in an audio piece composed by Chana.

Cassandra Filice and Karen Klucowicz
Poetry and Mixed Media Artwork
In response to a call for art for International Women's Day Exhibition at the Orillia Museum of History and Art (2023), Filice and Klucowicz collaborated to concept a poem and visual art piece to exemplify the theme of REIMAGINE through both their art and story.

I have now had the opportunity with photographers in two ways - one being the painting came first, then the photography work - in the second, the photography came first followed by the painting.
"Letting go" shown above was completed with photographer Jim Craigmyle, I created a painting first, he had an original photograph based on the concept, he photographed my art, and combined the two to be a finished piece.

Collaboration with photographer/writer - Casey Chaplin, - we have worked on several projects together. The concept was arrived at together, visualized, and then produced as a final print on canvas that I then responded to in paint on top of that.
