when art goes to a new home

when a concept delivers and a collector accepts it

There is no better feeling for an artist than when a collector receives the original intent of a painting. This has happened numerous times for me. Most recently these three pieces went to new collectors. The first piece is called 'yield' — for me, and as received by the new owner of this piece, it is about giving in to feelings, responding to others and allowing new relationships in to their life. The mixed media piece in the centre is called 'hearts desire' - the collector was moved to tears and told me it was her story. 'out loud' is the third painting here - the concept behind this is to put yourself out there, enable your voice and keeping yourself in a positive space to do so. The collector for this piece is personally working toward these goals and feels having the piece in his space will reiterate the objectives on a visual basis and motivate him to continue doing so.

I'm so happy these paintings are all living in new homes and will give my new collectors as much joy as it did me to paint them.
