This painting was created on a retreat in Barbados. Every retreat I take provides inspiration in unique ways. Barbados made me completely aware of the climate I was in, from the heat of the days to the cool of the nights. There were days when the winds rustled through the trees and others when it roared through the leaves. I equate that to the experiences we go through and this painting depicts a woman standing strong through it all.
